OGeS has developed a unique approach for the discovery and validation of novel biomarkers and targets.
Core to this unique approach is the OGAP® platform, which is currently the largest database of
disease-associated proteins in the world. The company approach also benefits from a number of analytical
tools that allow the systematic high-throughput separation, identification, quantification and characterisation
of the proteins expressed in biological samples. In particular, OGeS uses a 2D gel independent proteomics
platform which not only enables a fast, reliable validation of clinical biomarkers/targets but is also vital
in securing maximal intellectual property protection. These proteomic platforms developed by OGeS provide
better understanding of the biology of the candidate biomarker/target protein isoforms, which is key during
prioritisation and the design of an optimal analyte for each candidate biomarker/target. Altogether, this
creates new opportunities for improving the time- and cost-efficiency of drug development, as well as early
disease detection, prognosis, and monitoring.
